Lauren Alaina quickly became a favorite on American Idol Season Ten's list of contestants who are unique in their appearance and renowned for her devotion to God. Growing up in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her singing talent as her cousin was diagnosed with brain cancer. The diagnosis inspired Lauren to follow her singing dreams. Scotty was her very first fan on American Idol. Both shared traditional Christian roots and were both popular. Nancy Wilson (jazz singer) was born to Olden Wilson as the Chillicothe ironworker on 20 February 1937. The mother of her child, Lillian Ryan worked as household helper. Nancy was the youngest out of six kids. The passion for music that her father had and the records he played at home were a huge influence on Nancy when she was a little girl. She was the daughter of iron worker Olden Wilson, and former Lillian Ryan who worked as a domestic servant. Nancy Wilson was only born child at the age of 6.
